The Welcome Team
What It Is
We are looking for 6 members to join the Salon Welcome Team. The Welcome Team is the first point of human connection at each Fertile Ground Salon. On this team, you'll helps set the tone so guests—especially first-timers—feel welcomed, affirmed, relaxed, and at ease from the moment they arrive.
What You’ll Do
Welcome people warmly as they arrive
Check in pre-registered guests and register walk-ins at the door
Gather missing contact info (email, cell, and consent)
Host guests as if they’re coming into your own home—show them the bathrooms, food, flow, and where to settle
Make a simple, friendly donation ask if appropriate (e.g., “If you feel inclined, donations help keep this going”)
Stay attentive to the room and flag anything that feels off
Break down the check-in table and materials at the close of the discussion
Tools You’ll Use
A tablet or laptop with internet access to our CRM
(Training is provided before the meeting or on-site—no tech heroics required.)
Time Ask
Arrive 45–60 minutes before doors open (typically around 4:30 PM)
About 3–4 hours per month, including Salon night

Comfort using a tablet or computer
Presence and engagement (this isn’t a sit-back role)
